For more than 30 years Amanda has worked in the hospitality industry in both Australia and the United Kingdom as a chef, manager and trainer.

Since 2005 in her role as a lecturer at Western Australia’s South West Institute of Technology, she has been providing off-the-job training in Commercial Cookery to apprentice chefs from the Margaret River region.

Amanda was awarded the VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year at the 2011 Australian Training Awards.
