When a family member was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, Eylish Perry developed an interest in learning more about children with disabilities. The Canberra-resident started her Australian School-based Apprenticeship after completing work experience at a school for children with developmental delays, autism and moderate to severe intellectual or multiple disabilities.
So outstanding in her studies, Eylish was awarded the 2014 Australian School-based Apprentice of the Year Award at the Australian Training Awards.
Eylish is now an Australian Apprenticeships Ambassador for the Australian Government.
