Through its Best Banker ProfessionalQualifications Program, Westpac provides its employees with training to allow them to undertake a range of specialist roles across the organisation.
Westpac has set itself the key business objective of all staff holding a nationally accredited qualification by 2017.
The programme was defined, designed and developed by Westpac for its staff, and delivers qualifications ranging fromCertificate III to Advanced Diploma. Approximately 1000 Westpac employees have completed formal qualifications through the program, with 8600 more expected to graduate by April 2017.
Westpac won the Employer of the Year Award at the 2014 Australian Training Awards. The award recognises a medium to large enterprise which has achieved excellence in the provision of nationally recognised training to its employees.
