The Barangaroo Skills Exchange (BSX) was the winner of the New South Wales Industry Collaboration Award and a finalist in the same category at the 2014 Australian Training Awards.

Over the 10 years that the site will take to build, the BSX expects to provide 10 000 people with accredited qualifications, ensure that 20 per cent of all skilled trade work on-site is performed by people undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship.

BSX will also provide 50 000 learning outcomes and provide 500 Indigenous workers with capacity and capability in the construction and related industries.

BSX delivers national qualifications ranging from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma, as well as a range of literacy, numeracy, workplace health and safety, personal health awareness, first aid and leadership programmes.

BSX takes a flexible approach to training and assessment, and training is contextualised for both the job and the individual.
